Incompatible Signals

What Do I do if My Signals are Incompatible?

Firstly, remember in 99% of cases there is always a way out.

First of all check to see if it is just your signal connectors that differ and can easily be solved by a cable. In other words, the signal is the same; it is just the connectors that are different.

Some examples:

S-Video (4pin) to S-Video (Scart)  SSSCS (no audio) OR SSSCS2P & HCSCS2P (with audio)
Composite (Scart) – Composite (3 x phono)  HCSL5
RGB (Scart) to RGB (4 x phono’s)  SSSCRGBS
Component (Phono/BNC’s) – VGA  SS15D3P

When the signal types are actually different then a converting box is required.

RF Signal to A/V – this requires a tuner box, a VCR can be used for this purpose or an independent tuner can be bought -
Examples - DVB1001BE, CMT1H
